Old McDonald had a farm!

This is our first weekend without Justin here in quite some time. I tried to keep the kids busy with different things to do so that I wouldn't have to answer the dreaded question, "When's daddy coming home?"

Yesterday, we went to church, McDonald's, cleaned the office, and then went to say bye to Ryan! After all the going, Cutter feel asleep on the way home. While he napped, Rylee and I did an alphabet scavenger hunt in the back yard! She took a picture of the all 26 things she found. I'll post some of the pictures later. I think she enjoyed it. It got her out of the house and gave us some alone time.

Then on to Buster and Karen's! Cutter loves it out there, and Rylee is starting to come around. In all honesty, she could care less about being outside. However, I told her she couldn't go inside to play yesterday, so she was forced to play in the dirt! I think she have fun too...but don't tell her I said that!

We fed the cows and gave them some infamous cake!

We each took turns on the four wheeler, and then Cutter helped Buster drive the Kubota down to the Creek!

We threw a ton of rocks, stick, dirt...anything we could find in the creek. Rylee even attempted a big log, until we warned her about ants!

When we got back Cutter decided Don, Karen's daddy, needed help greasing the chute! So he went held his hand the whole way there, and gave him a helping hand!

Afterward, we went to Bonzi for Cody's Birthday dinner! Thanks for letting us come along, and we'll see you next week!

Rock and Roll I Need Something Better To Do

Justin, I'm so thankful you made it to New Jersey safe and sound (and without any speeding tickets)! We're trying to get back on schedule without you here! Cutter doesn't quite understand that you aren't coming home tonight. We drove by the airport on the way to ACU for Morgan's track meet, and he got so excited because he thought we were going to pick you up! Poor baby!

Ryan drove in last night to bring another truck load to the storage building. It's slowly, but surely filling up and he hasn't even brought half of it! I'm not sure where he's going to put everything. I guess it's a good thing I rearranged the attic the other day. That'll give him a little more room to keep his things. While we were at dad's last night, Dad and Ryan came up with a melody to go along with Rylee's two songs she wrote. The second one had to do with Rock and Roll and needing something better to do. I'll have to by and pick up the lyrics so that you can follow along. Once again, I only had my camera phone so they are blurry. Oh well, better blurry than not at all!

First things first though, I almost forgot...Rylee got to go to the Treasure Box yesterday! She wanted to show you the awesome bracelet she picked!

Now on to dad's house.

Cutter was rocking out with the ukulele and cowboy hat, but he moved so much I wasn't able to snap a picture!

Morgan did great today at the track meet. Well, actually she ran the 2 mile this morning, and we're getting ready to leave to go back and watch her run the mile! She knocked somewhere around 15 seconds off her time from Brownwood's meet last week! Way to go Morgan! A couple more weeks of hard practices, and you'll get it under 8!

I snapped fast enough to catch Cutter the one time he sat down. He must have been eating the Skittles Rick bought him. Thanks, by the way! See the hurdles in front of the kids? Cutter managed to climb over the fence and try to tackle them!

When daddy's away...

When Justin leaves town, and we know he'll be gone for awhile, I try to take the kids somewhere fun! Something to help keep their mind off of daddy. However, that 'somewhere fun' always seems to be Chuck E Cheese! Last night was no exception! I even caught Rylee dancing...shhh! Take a look, but remember she didn't get her moves from her momma!

I appologize for the fuzzy pictures. I forgot the camera, and had to resort to my camera phone.

On the Road Again

For those of you who don't know, Justin works on the road ALOT! He has been working for the wind turbines for the last three years, but had the opportunity to work in the Nuclear division this go round. He left yesterday at 9:30am with the trailer in tow, headed for New Jersey. He made it to within an hour of Nashville by 8:30 last night. Better he than I because I couldn't last that long being confined behind a wheel.

I love to read other people's blogs and be kept up to date on their lives. Therefore, I finally caved and decided to do one myself. I thought this would be an easy way to keep Justin posted on all our daily activities, as well as family and friends! Hope you enjoy!

Thursday night, our last night together, we entertained ourselves with a family Wii competition! Here are a few pictures to show all the excitment!

Rylee is hilarious to watch box on the Wii! Her feet usually move more than her arms!

Cutter doesn't care too much for technique! He just likes the idea of boxing!

Justin took his turn as well...he had to go to Round 3 though! Must have been the tougher competition!

All in all it was a great night! Bittersweet. I'm glad he gets to broaden his horizons with the Nuclear Plant, but I miss him being close. Here's a couple more pictures from Thursday morning before he left.

He woke up early and took Rylee to school.

Then, he built towers with Cutter before he headed to school!

Justin, know that we miss you lots, and love you plus one, infinity, no take backs!
