NaNa's Farm

Cutter's Mother's Day out class had a field trip to NaNa's farm! NaNa is one of Cutter's teachers, whom he adores. She had some baby chicks and a goat, and tons of tons of outdoor toys for the kids to play with. Although, he wouldn't ride on the golf cart because it wasn't a Kubota...hahaha! He knows that golf carts are for golfing and the farm is supposed to have a Kubota like Buster's! A little spoiled? Here's Krystal and Hudson petting one the the baby chicks.

There was a giantic pile of rocks for the kids to play on. Both boys were in heaven! Hudson started filling his bucket and pouring it on his head, Cutter soon followed. He was cute to see them playing together when they had a choice of so many others! I think it reminds me of Jacob and Ryan, but Gretchen says it's Josh and Ryan...whom ever it is, I hope they are as close as the older ones are!

Finally, Cutter got the okay to play on the Skid Steer! Once he got in, they all followed!

Cutter was pooped after the field trip yesterday. He napped from 1:30 to 5:00 when I finally decided to wake him. After dinner, mowing and baths, he went to bed at 8:30 without any problems.

Random pictures

This post is going to be very random. I try to categorize each post so that it is easy to follow, but these were some cute pictures that didn't fit in any where. Hope you enjoy!
Rylee tap dancing on the back porch!

I love this one! Ryan is helping Cutter nail nails into the board. He doesn't like the little nails though, they have to be big ones!

Last week I trimmed all the hedges, bushes and monkey grass in the front yard. Cutter played outside the entire time. He even decided to help a little! Although, he constantly reminded me that he was "Daddy's Little Helper!"

Rylee has her third loose tooth, and it is a stubborn one. I convinced her Monday night that I'd go buy her some ice cream if she pulled it out. She tried and tried, but it wasn't budging. It's been hanging for a week now, so hopefully one day soon it'll decided to fall out.

Cutter needed a better view!

Justin, these are for you. I had to do payroll on the 15th and Cutter went with me. He loves to go in the back and work on pumps. He's discovered the sand blaster and can't wait until he gets a little bigger so he can actually see his hands in the window.

Here he is on the fork lift. I feel sorry for who ever used it after he was finished. He pushes every button and pulls every lever, just so he can say he's working at the shop! At least he's not scared to get his hands dirty!

Go Fish

The first grade classes at Wylie Elementry had their yearly Musical! This year Rylee's class participated in, "Go Fish!" It was so cute! They sang 6 songs that covered every creature under the sea. She did an awesome job, I'm so proud of you Roo!

Afterward, Cutter ran to the stage to give his Roo Roo a hug...

...and a kiss! I'm so glad they are the best of friends! I am really blessed with such loving kids!

I asked a nice little lady to take a picture of all three of us!

Happy Birthday Gretchen!

Gretchen's birthday was April 23rd, and we all went over to celebrate! She decided since there were so many candle's, she'd let the kids blow them out!

Here's the ever so popular birthday photo shoot at the bar! It's crazy to think that mom and Gretchen have the same pictures of us at the bar doing the same thing!

Gretchen and Aron! Aron, you'll appreciate this picture one day, I promise!

Hudson giving NeNe a birthday hug goodbye!

I hope you had a great day, Gretchen! I enjoyed giving you a party the way you always do for us!

My time of weakness

Usually I am very strong and independent woman, but I too have my weaknesses! This June my mom will have been in heaven for six years! I can't believe how fast time passes. On the other hand, it feels like she was with me yesterday! Yes, I know, she is now with me all the time, but I'm talking in physical form. I want to be able to give her the biggest hug possible. I want to be able to sit and talk to her, hold her hand, go on a walk with her, tell her I love her...all of these, just one more time! With the thought of Lou Gherig's Disease and mom, my mind races back to the times where she was so dependent on me, like my kids are now. She used to joke that I was watching my two kids (refering to Rylee and her).

Gretchen's birthday is next week, and she has hinted about having a picture like the one I gave Ryan for his birthday (one of us with mom when we were little, and she wasn't sick). So, my search begins. I enjoy going through pictures, it allows me to remenence of the days without sickness. The carefree days with her, that I would take back in a heartbeat! I've looked in all my picture books, dad's books, Gretchen (and Slim's) photo albums, and now I get to the CD...

One of mom's childhood friends, David Sumner, gave the family a CD with a memorial video of mom! David, I'm sure you're not reading this, but if for some reason you get directed to my blog, I thank you from the bottom of heart for this video. Every time I watch it, my life gets put back into perspective! I try my damnedest not to cry, but I do every time! I know what's coming, and I've seen it a hundred times, but I still get choked up! At times my life seems so hectic and crazy, but this video reminds me to thank God for all that have and all that I have been given. I am in good health, and go to all my yearly check ups including my platellets now, so that if, God forbid, I inherit the awful disease mom got, I'll be ready!

Easter at Nanny's

As soon as we got to Nanny's the kids had a special visitor!

Here's Roo hunting for eggs!

Karen was trying to show Cutter the egg that was in the rain gutter!

Here's Baby Karsen, Tyler and Ashley's little girl! Both kids lover her, but Cutter slowed down just long enough to steal her from Buster!

We enjoyed our Easter weekend, but sure wish Justin could have been home with us. I makes me so proud of him for the sacrifices he makes for us. We love you baby, only 2 more weeks!

Easter at Dad's

For Easter, Justin got Rylee some flowers and Cutter a new John Deer belt! They were both so excited until...

Rylee read the card and saw who they were from! She got a little teary eyes (okay not so little), but loved them and his kind heart!

Cutter showed everyone his new belt!

After church we went to Dad and Hanaba's. Wormie was there, which made the visit even more special! Thanks for coming in Ryan!

Cutter and Hanaba sitting on the back porch.

Ryan helped the kids hunt for eggs. Although I think Rylee enjoyed hiding the eggs for everyone else instead.

Happy Birthday, Kori!

Forgive me, I haven't been keeping up with our daily activities. Last weekend was Kori's 16th birthday party! It was a lot of work, and I was beat, but we had a blast! Pops surprised her with a car, and they both started crying! It was a moments neither of them will forget.

The kids and I took a quick break for a picture!

Brittney, Kori and I before all the people showed up!

Cutter is just like his daddy, he loves the fire pit! We went out there on Friday night to help get things in order for the big day on Saturday. That night, he helped Chad and Pops gather the wood when the fire got low. On Saturday, as soon as we got there, he continued his quest for wood. He tried carrying the logs on his lap and on the back, but they kept falling off. So, I used a couple of bungie cords and the milk crate and created him a wood hauling 4 wheeler! Justin, you would have been so proud!

The kids and I have officially been on our own for two weeks now! We have gotten back into the swing of life with daddy on the road. We try to talk to him in the morning before school, but with the time zone difference that is sometimes difficult. Rylee usually calls him when she gets home from school, and tells him all about her day. Then, he gets another call when we finally hit the sack. Cutter has been a toot lately though, he hasn't wanted to talk on the phone.

Last weekend we had a gargae sale at my sister and brother-in-law's house. I didn't bring a whole lot, but they got rid of a bunch of stuff. Rylee sold her old art desk because she is too big for it. Cutter has one exactly like it, so he didn't need it! She was beginning to get a hole in her pocket from the money. Sunday after church we went to Target and she bought herself a new...Hanaha Montana barbie. She was so excited! It's the one from her new movie that is coming out Friday (that we already have tickets for)!

Here are a few pictures from Rylee's Alphabet Scavenger Hunt in the backyard!

F is for Fence

T is for Tree

Z is for Zipper

Remind you, she took all the pictures, and came up with all the answers (with just a little help)! Some of the letter were difficult.

We went back to dad's the other day so that he could sign all his quarterly tax documents. The kids love going over to Grandad and Hanaba's! I'm not sure if it's because of the chocolate, music room or rocks...your choice.

Here's a couple of random pictures from the house.

Cutter doesn't mind giving kisses, but sometimes he's a little stingy with receiving them!

Last, but definitely not least, I finished my painting! I love it! It's very simple, but it's the first one I've completed in forever! Yeah!
